We will be discussing Piers Vitebsky’s The Reindeer People, which is available at the AU campus bookstore.  This is an exemplary ethnography, and both biologists and humanists will enjoy it.  Although it is a big book, it reads quickly and easily.  Please read the Prologue and the first six chapters (pages 1-148). If you have time, it is suggested to read chapters 9, 11, and 13, as well as the epilogue.
