Location

Kunsthal Aarhus, J.M. Mørks Gade 13, 8000 Aarhus C

DUMP! gathers together artists, scientists, and organisms to explore the practice of multispecies collaboration that emerge in the ruins of modernity and industrialized progress.

Contesting the celebratory logics of invention and making that dominate contemporary discourse; the exhibition creates an arena for waste, obsolescence, and decomposition, where processes of nurturing and collective cultivation may begin to germinate. The division between the art, science and natural history museum, and the separation between wonder and comprehension, is collapsed in a compost heap where resistance and resilience gradually compile over the duration of the exhibition.

In collaboration with Aarhus University Research on the Anthropocene (AURA), a conference and a series of interdisciplinary experiments will be developed to explore multispecies relationship in blasted landscapes. These will be presented in September 2015
