AURA Post.doc Alark Saxena will be presenting our next Slow seminar.

Resilience, in the last decade, has moved from a peripheral ecological idea to a central concept in major global debates, e.g. achieving sustainable development goals, adapting to climate change, building cities for future and creating food secure systems. This slow seminar will explore the evolution of resilience thinking and how it is operationalized. The key questions for the seminar are:

1)      What are the advantages and challenges of engaging with resilience theory?

2)      How can we build on the strengths of resilience thinking while minimizing pitfalls?

3)      What is the future of resilience thinking?

4)      What are the areas of convergence in resilience thinking and the Anthropocene?
